Who is C28?
I am an experimental electronic music artist and sound designer. I've been working under the name of "C28" for near a decade now, starting my audio work in 2015. I aspire to craft unique sounds and soundscapes that provide a sense of awe and bliss to the consumer. I've been inspired by sound designers and composers like Mike Moresky from Valve, known for his work on the Portal and Half-Life series, as well as Hans Zimmer, known for his work on The Dark Knight (2008) and Interstellar (2014). My sound design typically involves complex synthesized sounds with the use of both the"Serum" wavetable synthesizer by Xfer, and the "Matriarch" Semi-modular Analog Synthesizer by Moog Music. In Winter of 2023, I trained an artificially intelligent agent called "Miss Modulations". Miss Modulations assists me with my sound design, and other musical ventures, acting as a catalyst for creativity. Future versions of this website may enable visitors to speak with her.
Career Aspirations
The most important thing for myself in an audio career is the ability to craft inspiring audio. I want to make a point of showing the significance of sound in creating emotion for the consumer. I do not see audio as a nice addition to a project, but rather, a core foundation of a project. Within the next two years, I see myself working closely alongside fellow audio professionals on audio projects for games, television, film, and more. I feel I have the right drive and vision to ignite a revolution in the audio industry, and I am dedicated to seeing my vision for change come to fruition.
